ABOUT Gerard N. Mangieri
Attorney Gerard N. Mangieri was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. where he attended public school. He has fond, childhood memories of joining his father at work in the World Trade Center on Christmas Eve for several years. After graduating from John Dewey High School, Attorney Mangieri attended Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y.
At Wagner, Attorney Mangieri was the president of the Pre-Law Society, a member of the Newman Club (the young adult Catholic organization on campus), and was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice, and a Minor in Philosophy. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the honors program, Attorney Mangieri was named Valedictorian of the Class of 2005.
After working for a private company in Manhattan for the year following his graduation from college, Attorney Mangieri enrolled in Widener University School of Law – Harrisburg, where he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society, and competed in mock trial competitions in Philadelphia and Buffalo. For his performance in the National Trial Competition in Philadelphia, Attorney Mangieri received one of two Best Advocate Awards presented by the honor society.
Dedicated Criminal Defense and Family Law Attorney
Following graduation from law school, Attorney Mangieri developed a foundation in family law and public service by volunteering his services as an attorney with a public interest organization in Harrisburg, before accepting a staff attorney position at a public interest law firm in Chambersburg, PA.
Shortly after that, he was hired by the Franklin County District Attorney’s Office where he was a prosecutor for over six years. Attorney Mangieri later began his career as a criminal defense attorney by contracting with the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas where he represents indigent people accused of crimes in Dauphin County, and practiced criminal defense and family law for a local firm for several years prior to starting Mangieri Law in 2022.
Attorney Mangieri has more than 13 years of experience trying cases in courts throughout Central Pennsylvania, including 75+ criminal jury trials, and hundreds of criminal and family law hearings. Attorney Mangieri has also had the privilege of successfully arguing cases before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, some of which resulted in published opinions which changed or created new law. A tireless advocate, Attorney Mangieri is at home in the courtroom, and gives his clients the respect, attention, and practical advice they deserve.
